Meet Dr. B
Anthony V. Bonavoglia, DDS, MS
Dr. Anthony V. Bonavoglia, known to patients as Dr. B, is dedicated to creating confident, healthy smiles for families throughout the Hudson Valley. With advanced orthodontic training and years of experience, he combines clinical expertise with a friendly, patient focused approach.
Education and Advanced Training
Dr. B earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He then completed his Master’s Degree and Certificate in Orthodontics at the University of Minnesota Dental School. His advanced specialty training allows him to treat a wide range of orthodontic concerns, from braces for kids to adult braces and clear aligner therapy.
Having lived and trained in some of the coldest parts of the country, Dr. B brings warmth and energy to every patient experience.
Professional Memberships and Leadership
Dr. B is an active member of several respected dental organizations, including:
- American Association of Orthodontists
- American Dental Association
- New York State Dental Association
He is also a past president of the Dutchess County Dental Society, reflecting his leadership and commitment to advancing dental care in the community.
Awards and Community Recognition
Dr. B has been voted a Top Dentist of the Hudson Valley every year since 2007, a recognition that reflects both his clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.
In 2009, he helped organize and lead the World’s Largest Oral Hygiene Lesson at Hudson Valley Renegades Dutchess Stadium, earning a Guinness World Record at the time. Although the record has since been surpassed, the event remains a proud and memorable moment for the community.
He was also honored as a “Mover and Shaker” by the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce in recognition of his strong commitment to the Hudson Valley.
Life Outside the Office
Outside of orthodontics, Dr. B enjoys staying active. His favorite sports include ultimate frisbee and tennis.
Most importantly, he values time with his family. In his spare time, he enjoys being with his wife and chasing after his young children.
